We have had a pretty crazy week. I wanted to ask everyone keep my mom in prayer. They have found out that their new insurance company will not cover my dad's cancer medication which costs $20,000 each treatment. They have now had 3 and are looking at a bill of $60,000. My mom is extremely worried about this and needs to feel some peace that it will get straightened out.
Secondly, my brother has decided to leave his wife AGAIN which is putting a real strain on our family. Please pray for wisdom for him as he makes this decision which affects his wife and little girl immensely and for the rest of our family as we try and understand the best way to cope with his decision.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad and brother. They are in my prayers. Be a pest to the insurance company! They will change their decisions sometimes if they are given enough grief. Try asking to speak to their medical director and ask him on what basis they make their decisions on treatment for patients. Your dad was already on a specific treatment and should be allowed to continue it. Try getting his doctor involved as well, they carry more pull with insurance companies. As a last resort, ask the medical director what he would suggest you replace the medicine that your dad was on to successfully treat his cancer.
